500 WOMEN AND YOUTH INDUCTED FOR TRAINING IN VARIOUS SKILLS…………MILLENNIUM AFRICA SETTING THE PACE FOR PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP IN ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
500 women and Youth had been inducted by the Millennium Global Africa Initiative to be trained in various skills at Abdulsalam Abubakar Youth Centre Minna.
The Chairman Board of Trustee of Millennium Global Africa Initiative, Honorable Joshua Bawa, stated that the initiative was conceived to develop the informal sector of the state economy as part of development goal.
Honorable Joshua Bawa further highlighted that the training was a concept geared towards supporting the government effort and partnering the stakeholders in empowerment programs in Niger State.
The Director General Hydro Power Producing Area Development Commission HYPPEDAC, Honorable S.D Manbo described the Millennium Africa training as a step in the economic emancipation of the rural people.
While the Director General RLG Communication and empowerment training, Honorable Mohammed Tanko Sakaba, lauded the effort of the Millennium Africa as part of the corporate social responsibility to society.
Director Youth and Education, Niger State Ministry of Youth Affairs, Mr Gomna Aliyu who represented the Honorable Commissioner, charged the participants to utilize the opportunities abound in the training and urged for the sustainability of the Millennium achievement in the state.
The National Coordinator Millennium Global Africa Initiative, Mr Marshal Okoro solicited for critical partners to sponsor beneficiaries in term of starter pack and items necessary for a start-up, he thanked the participants and called for all hands to be on deck.
